Hey! all you gardening fashionistas

I ordered a pampas grass to go by the side of my pond, and I don't care. Anyone else knowingly sticking 2 fingers up at horti-couture?

Haha.. I have a feeling that pampas grass is going to be sticking a few fingers up at you after a few years there.   :D;)

I feel there is probably a logical reason behind many of the "horti-couture".  Not that they should be followed, the pleasure in gardening is testing and trial (and success!).

Don't blame us when you get the swingers knocking on your door :*

I've been quite enjoying building a rockery recently but apparently they're coming back into fashion too.

I love sticking two fingers up at haughty-culture. Ars Botanica! That's what I say.

If I like it I plant it.  If I hate it, I don't.

I understand that chrysanthemums are deeply unfashionable, but unfortunately I don't like them anyway -part from the smell.

I'm a dandelion lover. They're one of my favourite plants.

Pampas grass will have its day again... then you will be ready lol! Who knew flares would make a come back but they did! I actually like the foliage, it’s the flowers that I don’t like.. same reason I don’t like astilbe, it’s a shape thing for me, I said a while back I might grow it and just cut of the flowers! Anyway ‘stick it to the man’ if you love it, grow it!
