Ha that explains it, loading one 12mb pic in these parts is a 30
    minute task

Hi morag 😃.  Looks to be a very interesting and challenging site you have there.

Thinking about bark chippings for covering the paths...
I'm sure I've read that forum member nutcutlet shreds all her woody prunings for that.  Not sure if the wall is too much of an obstacle, but you seem to have a good amount of shreddable stuff to shift.

I can't see "page 5" of this thread. Keeps crashing.
Must be the big pics that Fire and Jelly refer to above.

Sorry everyone I am new to this forum. How do I make the photos smaller. I did have trouble attaching them.

Borderline only the first photo of the garden gate was to show how big the gate is and is from the house side. All others are of the "secret garden" x

No worries morag. Photo glitches on the forum aren't your fault. It's been an issue since the "upgrade".
The techy folk behind the scenes are working on it.

Sorry i can't advise on making them smaller, I'm clueless with that stuff 😵.

I love the stone detailing next to that blocked up gate. I'm a sucker for a bit of stone walling.

Hi Morag - you should have an option of resizing within the photo library on your computer. Right clicking on the photos may bring it up. If not, you can download a photo editor. Pix of around 1MB usually work well and load quickly   :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I thought I was the only stone wall saddo. Isn't that picture a delight?

There are some stunning walls around Devon and Cornwall. I keep thinking of photographing them.
