@Lizzie27, We did get lucky with the weather to was dry and sunny for the few hours we needed then rained off and on all afternoon. Hoping to get to the allotment later but have leaves to clear up in the garden first.

@Victoria Sponge thank you they're really good plants. Planted them and moved another one that was in the wrong place. I know it's difficult to remember what time of year to order things. Good luck with yours.
OH shredded the last of the willow branches and twigs, so I will be spreading the shreds on the flower beds sometime over the winter/spring to help cut back on the amount of weeding - all good stuff. I pruned a few stray bits and tied up some clematis shoots, better late than never.
Glad that you are feeling a bit better Guernsey. This afternoon planted 20 allium bulbs. Found tulips that i dug up from last year in a container, plant them tomorrow.
Did get into the garden between the rain and cleared up some of the leaves, forecast is for a better day tomorrow I would like to give the new rotavator a go (boy's and their toy's)

Discussed our proposed new boundery bank with our neighbour, then watched the kestrel swooping over the field - it was looking but not finding anything of interest this time. Later we dug a hole for our new rose for when it arrives. OH hoed the veg patch and I planted a few more winter flowering bedding plants.
Parked myself in the cosy greenhouse, sowed 3 more packets of sweets peas, planted my allium caeruleum in a pot, for moving next spring to new bed, to be dug then.Checked and watered some of the seedlings in there. Seemed to have been out there quite a time, tomorrow, must get mower, collect leaves, Hubby cut down asparagus yesterday, rain stopped play, its all piled up down by our veg plot, waiting to be chopped up and put on compost.
Spent a good hour clearing leaves off the front lawn and then another after lunch doing the back garden paths. There's an awful lot of birch leaves on our boundary yet to fall so I guess it might take another week or so. Our leaf bin is already full so it will have to be black plastic bags next. The magnolia leaves all suddenly dropped off almost overnight and I was amazed to see a lovely blue clematis flower clinging to the bare branches today. I also cleared leaves off the green manure seedlings in the three veg beds.
Cleared more leaves took them to the allotment and add to the compost as all my leaf bins are full at home. Filled the rotavator with new oil and petrol started first pull did a small patch but ground is a bit to wet with a dry day tomorrow should be fine on Thursday and will have a good go then. Delivery of new roses should be this week if they can get on the ground to dig them up.

At the Allotments, cut down & cleared the last of the outdoor tomatoes & the Edamame (soya) beans. Cut down the blackend Dahlias & cut them up small before adding to compost heap. Planted some winter salad plugs in the greenhouse beds. At home planted some wallflower plants I was given into the front garden.
