Have tidied up the front garden today, was a bit suprised at how many weeds there were.  The back garden will take considerably longer so I need to psych myself up for that one.  Have placed an order for bedding plants too.

Three years ago I sowed some seeds off of my hellebores. Today the first one flowered. A double white with a few pink spots on the centre of each petal. As they were open pollinated, it could be an interesting mix.
  • At the allotment, hand dug over a little more of plot removed more bricks, rubble and rubbish, dug up and potted a few stray gladioli corms put into the poly tunnel to over winter.
Collected 75mm square pots washed and disinfected at home ready for broad bean seed's

Sowed a few each Chinese Lanterns (Physalis alkekengi) and Lady's Mantel (Alchemilla mollis) at home.

Collected 2 bags of mole hill soil. Riddled it and mixed at 50% with fresh compost. Rebadged it ready for whatever I going to use it for? Measure up to make a trellis for sweet peas. Collect wood today.

It's been either too cold or too wet for gardening. Yesterday it was -5° in the morning but the sun was out and the afternoon was quite pleasant so I spent nearly 2 hours pruning 3 climbing roses and sweeping leaves on the terrace. OH had already swept the terrace but a load more leaves had appeared from somewhere.
