Not a lot doing in our garden at the mo, so apart from bird feeding, picking out a few stones in the soil and weeds in the drive way, I am concentrating on indoor jobs like spring cleaning, reading, catching up on letter writing and phone calls and keeping warm.
Did a stint each day in the garden this weekend but nothing today. Re-potted an Acer, & continued the cutting back & general tidying. The garden is not that big but it seems to take several sessions to get it all done now. I must be slowing down more than I thought.
All I did today was sow some cress I had intended to sow a few other bits and pieces but forgot I had a dental appointment mid morning and wife had acupuncture this afternoon so nothing really got done on the gardening front.

Walked around, pulled out a very dead cerinthe, basically that was it. I did watch Carol Klein's cottage garden programme at lunchtime, does that count ? Think it must be about 10 years old !
Did a bit more on the old berberis hedge this morning - very slow progress. I want to cut the side on the cul-de-sac above us hard back, taking off all the old leaning branches (about 3-4 ft long), but that will leave us very exposed as it's higher than our garden and faces our bedroom windows. Undecided now!
Weather ok today so moved 2 Geranium Johnson Blue that I’d planted in a shady in Autumn last year in to a more open area in front of some hibernating crocosmia George Davison Carried out some weeding ie: brambles from behind my shed even though they have spouted from next door Washed down most of my gardening tools
A few hours on garden today cutting up wood Also watered pots , didn’t realise how dry they where , has we have had so little rain Snow drops nicely out and a bed of cyclamens is looking particularly good this year Weather permitting , in garden again tomorrow for a couple of hours Thursday is forecast to be a rather nice day hear so plan to go to allotment
No gardening today as very drizzly but the new incinerator has arrived, together with the new red heat proof gloves to go with it as a precaution. They are enormous though, made for big welders, not little ladies!
