Super Nova has arrived.  Fresh from Taylors Clematis.  Nice big plant and looking very healthy.  Very good service all round.

I wish I'd bought Betty Corning instead of Prince Charles which seems to be pining in my garden (mind you that might be because he's looking across to the Princess of Wales!)

Maybe you should get one of these vhttp://www.clematis-nursery.co.uk kamila.htm (in translation) she seems to suit him better  ;)

I had a Prince Charles in a previous garden ... he did very well on quite a sheltered westfacing wall ... a lovely colour.

That's obviously the way to go Dove!  My Prince Charles is very weedy and isn't a strong grower for me so he may face the chop if he doesn't improve this year.

  • I also get very excited about Clems,it's interesting to know what floats others boats,I wouldn't dream of growing Dahlias, they don't do anything for me,maybe it's because I remember ear wigs dropping out of them when my Dad brought in bunches for the house!!! Ugh!
