No no @JELLYFIRE that is kind of you to answer. I wasn't sure if it was a specific extension as it has a different connection to anything I have had before. I'll have another look on Amazon! Thank you!
Havent posted for a while after a pretty hectic year, so just updating on where the pond is at now. The second pond I had made from leftover liner was always a bit of a niggle, too narrow, too shallow, too choked with weed. It worked for the wildlife, but didn't really offer much to look at, so bit the bullet last spring and decided to do the job properly. I like the idea of it visually continuing from the first pond to look like one long stream, so kept it in the same position but just made it much bigger. There were a couple of things I wanted to incorporate after the lessons of the first pond.. having a bridge is a real plus, as it gives you a perfect viewing area right into the middle, and I wanted more areas to view from in general, as you never know where all the action is going to take place. I also wanted a bigger and wider shallow end, as this is a real favourite with the tadpoles etc. I've always fancied a bit of a big garden, for the plants and the wildlife, so I refused the original liner to make that at one end, with a bit of an overflow from the pond so that fills up when the pond gets topped up. I also bought a little rigid paddling pool (about 3-4 ft in diameter - £8) to use as another bog garden for carnivorous plants, you can just see some saraccenia poking up bottom right).
Once it had grown up a bit then it it blends in nicely with the first pond (in foreground here). It gets sun all day, so is actually the favourite spot for pond watching now. The newts seem to love it, and the frogs seem to prefer the first one for now, though we've got a tadpoles in both so that may change.
Didn't really get any photos of it after spring other than this one, but it was well established by the end of summer and had lost that 'new pond' look

I wouldnt swear on it as it was a couple of years ago, and I threaded it through an old hose pipe and buried it so I cant check, but I think it was basically something like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Vanxse®cctv-2-1x5-5mm-Extension-Security-Standalone-White/dp/B01IGZE57O/ref=sr_1_8?dchild=1&keywords=12v+dc+extension+cable&qid=1617703452&sr=8-8

That's the the project I've got in mind to start in May @Jellyfire, yours is lovely. Can i ask how many m2 of liner did you use, is there an underlay and where exactly is your pump located?

Id heartily recommend it Sam, they provide so much entertainment and interest to the garden. The second pond above was a 5x6.5m (34sqm) liner from Swell, which came with free underlay (they quite often have offers or sales on). It was bigger than I needed so I extended the hole a little, but better to be too big than too small. The pump is on one of the shelves (dont have it at the deepest point so in case of a mishap it wont drain the pond), and just feeds a pipe that goes back into the pond via a bit of clay pipe. Thats this years project to make that look a bit nicer though
