Local rumour (made up to torment children  ;)) is that the previous owner of my house buried his first wife in the rose bed. About a month ago we were clearing a very ovegrown bit and uncovered a person shaped raised bed surrounded by big rough stones and with lillies up the head end! Just sayin'.

Not a rose in sight!  They're all up around the house.
The lillies grow to about 6ft though....
