Stockton NE. blue skies sunshine and I believe spring has gone elsewhere this year we went from winter to summer, today as yesterday 17-19C very warm for us, short sleeves windows open to catch the light breeze off the North Sea.
If you had seen Celandines spread as quickly as I did you would tear them out, they flower then disappear only their root system is creeping the whole time. I saw them go from a few plants next to the stream in the woods they were five petal light and delicate and year by year climb a bank nearly 100 yards and becoming seven nine and even more petals plus the leaves becoming coarser. They are thugs without doubt.

Becoming very dark here in London too, and the temp is falling.
  • Hot, hot, hot here but feeling thundery with it - we are supposed to have some showers this afternoon but nothing as yet - we really do need some rain (at night of course) for the garden - imagine saying that three weeks ago!
  • Yes it's come over a bit dark and humid here.Had to dash inside a couple of times today as we had very heavy showers lasting a few minutes.

We have had two days of wonderful weather and it is still gorgeous at 7pm. Why oh why did I buy matinee tickets for Steel Magnolias for this afternoon?? Everything is opening up and the garden is bursting with life though.

Funny old day here.  Lovely and sunny this morning, cloudy with showers mid afternoon and now it's glorious sunshine again.  Got lots done in the garden.

Glos - black clouds as the sun was setting. Some quite spectacular sheet and forked lightning and now it's raining. Luckily l had shut the greenhouse up, although it's still pretty warm and the automatic vent is still open.
