    Lovely selections @Fire
Don’t think I’ll have as many as that to pick - quite a few plants on the cusp of flowering tho...

Thank you, Aunty. Mine are just starting - my first week. It was so nice to compare the posy I posted in spring and see how much has changed. I also realise how I have basically planted everything for potential cutting - to give to friends. Which is good to know. It will partially determine what I plant in the future, as this is one of the plants' purposes.

This is my first cream rose to bloom, just out today. The Historic Roses Group tell me that it is probably Niphetos, although the description of its habit doesn't much match. But hey. It's my favourite plant in my garden; an astonishing scent. Is seems very tough. My climber is covered in buds (for the first time ever). I have take a lot of time in careful pruning and training (research) for the first time with this rose, and it really seems to have paid dividends. So thanks to all who advised on the subject.

I just looked at the jam jar I did on June 3rd 2017 and it had a Peony, Philadelphus and Brachyglottis - and none of these are out yet this year!

A mini posy for the start of June - various Geranium flowers with a couple of types of daisy plus Erysimum and Alchemilla.

Roses (blue for you, blue eyes, cerise fragrant), love-in-the-mist, campanula, iris, geranium rozanne, wild gladioli, allium roseum and incarvillea delavayi.

Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth :)
