Then on to Lambeth Palace Gardens, where @chicky, @Liriodendron and I were met by @B3. It was very parched but quite lovely. I would like to see it when the grass is green - I think it would feel entirely different.

And last but not least, the weary but undaunted gardeners headed to Chelsea Physic Garden and met up with @Fire. This was my personal favourite - so interesting and beautiful and full of unusual or unusually grown plants. Not a lot of good pictures, but here they are. First - greenhouses and conservatories:

Not great pics, but here are my snaps of Lambeth Palace
Here are some of mine. First, the view over Lambeth Palace from the Garden Museum tower, which was built in 1377 and has 131 steps (in this heat!!!):
Also some stained glass within the Garden Museum, which is housed in the former church of St Mary's at Lambeth, the burial place of John Tradescant.
