I've removed the dates when only or 2 or 3 people could make it, to reduce the amount of calendar checking for those who have yet to fill it in. Chicky said we might need something else on the same day, and the gardens of Lambeth Palace are right next door... but are only open one day a month. I'm trying to find out what date that is in June and July, just in case it matches one of our dates. Watch this space

OK, I have heard back about Lambeth Palace Garden (https://www.archbishopofcanterbury.org/lambeth-palace/about-palace/lambeth-palace-garden) which we could do on the same day as Chelsea Physic Garden if people would like to. It's only open one day a month, 12-3pm, during the summer. We can get a free tour from the Head Gardener who is, I'm reliably informed, "fab". However, the July date is Friday 6 July, which I know doesn't suit everyone - what do people think?

Hello! Goodness I feel as though I have been in hibernation! Thanks so much @BeausMum for tagging me into this. Would love to come. Like others have said before bits and pieces on through the summer. Perhaps pick the most suitable date and I will do my best to organise myself to make it. Would be lovely to see all you lovely people again and perhaps some new faces too! thanks for organising us all too LG Lisa X
We'll be in Norfolk then, wish I could join you but have a lot on. OH will be singing in a choir in a concert in Ely Cathedral on the 4th July, rehearsals in Cambridge the few days before. Then taking our friends from the choir back to the airport. We'd thought of the Hampton Court Flower Show but it just seemed too much and another expense.
Don't suppose anyone wants to visit a garden in Norfolk or Suffolk where parking is easy?
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Apologies once more, life's been a bit busy recently. @Allotment Boy and @B3, did you want to add your dates to the Doodle poll?
I've been wondering about the possibility of having two meets - one to Lambeth Palace Gardens (plus CPG?) on 6 July and then another date for either Kew (Temperate House) or CPG, then people can pick which one they'd like to / can come to, or even both if that's an option. I'm sorry, that was a very poorly constructed senrence, but hopefully you can see what I mean!

OK everyone, it would seem that I need to make a decision, by dint of being the one who started the thread!
So I'm going to suggest the following:
A trip to Lambeth Palace Garden on Friday 6 July, simply because that's the only day it's open. This would ideally be combined with a visit to Chelsea Physic Garden, but the logistics might be slightly tricky (opening times combined with travel from one to the other - I was muddling CPG with the Garden Museum when I said they were next door to each other. They're half an hour apart by public transport).
Another trip, date to be chosen, for those who can't do 6 July or would like to do both days. Looking at the Doodle poll, the best day would probably be 28 June. But I'm going to leave the venue and final date to be chosen by others, as I can't do 28 June and it would be a bit rich for me to dictate it in absentia!
So - who's in? For both, one, or the other?

Haven't heard back about Lambeth Palace yet, I doubt I will for a while.
