I wish mine would shoot like that...
  • Well I would like to think that I have done something right, but I probably just have been lucky. However I remember watering them religiously until they get established last year and squishing aphids every single morning. Maybe this has helped to give them the best start possible  :)

Most of mine are planted in odd and difficult places. Having a great hole full of manure and plenty of room to stretch out must help a huge amount.

Aurelie, my garden will be open on the 17th June, if ever I get it sorted in time. It's on this site, Saint Vincent sur l'Isle   https://www.opengardens.eu/
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Thanks for the date and what a beautiful garden you have Busy Lizzie! I am not far from you, my family home is near les Eyzies-de-tayac-sireuil  :)
  • Here are 2 photos of my roses Madame Carriere in full bloom!

Superb, Aurelie... it's such a lovely, graceful rose, in the right situation, as you have it there... and so quickly achieved I think from what you said earlier..
