Ah I see what you mean, BL - I couldn't understand the rush to make it your default, but if it throws up an error each time then I can see why you'd need it to be. When that error message comes up, are there any options on it allowing you to make it your default from there?
'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.'
That's super @steephill I have noticed that with my pots - they are small but mighty!
Hope everyone doing ok this evening? Just warming up after a study day held in a freezing cold room. Was going to have chicken salad... but have upgraded to pie and mash, as I thought warm calories were required as a reward for being cold all day!
Snow melting fast, but garden is a boggy morass, not sure when any real gardening will get done. Nice to have water, it makes cooking dinner so much easier.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Back from the NE, which seems unexpectedly less cold than here - lovely to see a blackthorn just coming into flower. Sadly, Mum wasn't on very good form - still in bed when I arrived, and a bit "coldy". She seemed pleased to see me though, and perked up a bit when she'd had a cup of tea... I'll just bring the photos again next time.
BL, I'm sorry but I don't have any help to offer for your browser woes... I'm sure someone on here will be able to sort it for you though. (When I went to uni, there was a "computer room" - ie a room which contained the university's computer - and four calculators the size of typewriters, chained to the desks in a room of their own. )
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Evening all. @Dovefromabove, methinks it's become a bit of " a thing" now to boo Pinkerton. I've heard from "those in the know" that it's actually deterring top singers from taking the role. Work to-day was fine. 5 deliveries , one of which took me into the centre of Barnstaple, most certainly not my fave place. Hubby had a bath waiting for me and din dins on the go . We watched Michael Portillo on a train in India. Which reminds me there was a FAB programme on BBC4 last night about the art of the Indus. Lots of filming around the Taj Mahal etc. Worth catching if you missed it folks. The weather looks fine for tomorrow so maybe some seeds will be sown and summer bulbs put into pots. Dacha, I'm glad I made you laugh. By the sounds of things, you deserve a bit of it.
Hosta, the train journey up to Shimla is good. Wish they'd shown a bit more the surrounding area including Lord Kitchener's house. Saw treasure of the Indus first time round. Very informative.
Joyce, we're lucky enough to have visited most of the Indian sites shown last night and next week they're moving to Tamil Nadu. The temple they showed on the taster is another we've been to.
Hosta it was only at the end and done in a very lighthearted and appreciative way (after all, this is norwich, home of one of the oldest music festivals in the UK) and acknowledged in a similarly lighthearted and appreciative way by the very good young Spanish tenor whose name escapes me and the programmes downstairs. Tucked up in bed now but not sure if I'll get to sleep for a bit ... all that emotion Night night all ......
