Really concerned about the global weather patterns and the future ....I have never been a pessimist in my life but sitting with my 3 year old granddaughter yesterday I just thought 'what does the world hold for you?' ......to be honest I am more concerned about this than all the political shenanigans  at the moment! :(

There seems to be more positive action that we can take about the climate than about any shenanigans at the moment Dacha  ;)

Much of global warming is due to previous political shenanigans, just of a different sort, with politicians refusing to believe the unpalatable and protecting their industries but not their populations.   I fear the majority of politicians will always be short termists with an eye on their own financial or political gain.

Grey here with a watery sun trying to poke thru the clouds.  I'm off outside for an hour or two but then need to get cleaned up.  New gardening friends coming for a visit this pm.

I hope everyone, and their treasures, is tucked up safe and warm for this next icy blast.

Happy Paddies day to all ......a little Irish joke to warm the heckles of your hearts.... :)

    "Ma'am, I'd like to order a Guinness."

    -"You must be Irish."

"Oh, so ordering a Guinness makes me Irish? If I ordered a Pizza, would you assume I'm Italian?"

    -"I didn't..."

"And if I ordered a Bratwurst, would that make me German?"

    -"No, but..."

"So why exactly do you think I'm Irish then?"

-"Sir, this is a book store.".....

:) Maybe he meant the Guinness Book of Records!

    Morning all.

Have made the first course for Sunday and fed the horses. Next to wash the kitchen floor, then off to Bordeaux.

A lot of Irish at Cheltenham as usual this week ... a lot of Irish success (also as usual) too.  I do love watching steeplechasing  <3

We decided we needed something to remind us of sunshine this weekend rather than a Sunday roast, so I'll be making moussaka for tomorrow.

Morning all... Very, very white here. It's not settling on the roads at the moment - they must be too warm as it was 15° here yesterday, but everything else looks like a postcard. The kids have got two dress rehearsals and three concerts between them this weekend. I do hope they go ahead as rescheduling of that lot would be a nightmare.

Good to see you back, Dacha.
