I think you've hit the nail on the head @Liriodendron. I'm going to shut myself into the sitting room with an electric heater and watch rubbishy telly.
My GW mag has just dropped through the letter box ... it's that time of the year ... freebie seeds, cosmos and zinnias ...... that'll cheer us all up
I doubt the postie will make it up to us today. We are getting a very occasional glimpse of sunshine but it's basically grey, cold wind, 5 inches or so of lying snow with icicles hanging off the eaves. Brrrrr.
We have a couple of those oil filled electric radiators Hosta, for these emergencies. There's one under my desk as I type. We ran out of logs in the last 'do' two weeks ago and it's been so wet since we've not been able to get out on the fields to pick any more up.
Spring equinox tomorrow, clocks go forward at the weekend. It'll all be a distant memory by this time next week. I hope this bloomin' cough will have gone by then, as well.

flippin' 'ope so. If you look closely, you can see the icicle is dripping.
Hi all.....sorry for being a bit absent but lots going on with my trip to the UK.....my beautiful daughter and her husband have separated.....I'm actually devastated....they have a beautiful little 4 year old daughter , our only grandchild ....looks like separation is the norm and I am no role model for sure ......have great memories of the wonderful wedding day .....when I was two sheets to the wind but still delivered a heartfelt speech
Sorry to hear that Dacha ... but as I'm sure you know, better to separate in a grown up and reasonable way than make each other, and the child, live in an unloving family. And as I'm sure your wife will agree, better to do it earlier than to do it later when your nearly adult children will realise that their family life was 'a lie'.
But it's good to 'see' you Can you please 'do something' about this bitter Siberian wind someone over your way is sending us
