Sorry to be so slow in answering Pat, we are home now, got back on Thursday having missed the weather. If I hadn't been keeping up with the news I don't think I would know that there had been any snow, we were worried that maybe there would be damage but everything was fine except for the Jasmine on the pergola which looks a bit sad. Even the autumn sown sweet peas still in their 3 inch pots have survived although they were outside on the potting bench and their fleece had blown off. (I'm having a bit of an experiment to see if I can have sweet peas in flower all summer by planting at different times ). They are now in a big container and the next lot of seeds are sown.

Well done Suesyn. I don’t often plant Sweet Peas - don’t know why because I have a very good spot for them.i might get going with them. Usually planted here on St Patrick’s Day.  Glad you had a good trip down under.

We always have a good time, son lives in Eumundi and works in Noosa so it's a brilliant place for a holiday and OH gets restless if he is not kept occupied so the fact that Jon has 2.5 acres and little spare time is ideal. We always have a building project  lined up for us to keep us busy and clearing dead leaves is a never-ending task!

We used to have a block of land (1 acre) at Maleny which over-looked the glasshouse mountains.  We sold it when we were purchasing this place. Had a friend whose brother had a bush block at Eumumdi. Lovely memories of it. Hubbies parents were at Caloundra, so we visited the area fairly often.

It looks as it it might be drying be drying out a bit out there ... I might be able to start a bit of gardening ... the grasses are in real need of a 'tidy'.

Yes, thanks, Lily P, cataract op has been a success. Though at first OH’s sight was cloudy and he worried about it. Taking him out to lunch today, late birthday treat.

Morning all. Still lazing in bed here. Was hoping hubby might be in the mood to make a cuppa but it's not looking likely.
