Morning all. Sorry I've not been around much of late. Life is rather getting on top of me.
1. I didn't get that fantastic job. The only feedback was they had someone more qualified. 2. I'm having no joy finding another job. That said (with my current contract ending this month) I've not officially been shown proof that I will even keep this job. 3. The company are making redundancies like wildfire at the moment. Honestly our future as paid staff is dangerous as it seems the idea is to go back to relying on volunteers to do everything. Hence why I have a task of finding enough volunteers to fill a once paid position as one of my team decided to jump before he was pushed while in the mean time covering his role (and my role, and the other role I agreed to do) in the same hours. 4. That ear of mine that is full of fluid trapped behind the eardrum causing much unpleasantness? Well my referral was sent in on 18th January and I've received notification that I'll see the consultant on..*drum roll* 24th April. 5. With all the snow the garden is now a boggy mess. Efforts to point out to his lordship that I can't do it on my own are proving less than effective. Still (if I do still have a job next month) I'm on the very edge of needing to go off sick to protect what little mental health I have left so perhaps I can bundle myself up in the greenhouse and await spring along with my delicate flowers.
I'm trying to read back to see what you've all been up too but as you can imagine this new and shiny forum has thrown me off balance a bit.
Clari ((hugs)) good to see you. Life's tough out there Something will turn up ... I was once in a similar position to you and ended up taking agency jobs that I was totally over qualified for ......... and one of those lead to me working for my last employer for 15 years. I'd never have applied for that job ... it wasn't within my experience, but temping proved that I could work in that field and they made the position permanent and then I got promoted a few times. You never can tell what's around the corner ...You look after yourself xx ...

Morning all. I can see your name, Lily Pilly. Encouraging words from Dove, Clari. I hope the right job turns up.
Thank you, Joyce, for the advice about Google Chrome. OH has set up the GW forum on the task bar at the bottom of the screen using Chrome and I can now type posts on the Laptop. Only trouble is that it was bought it France and has French spell check so all the English words are underlined in red! He's searched for how to change it but no joy.
Don't get burnt, Chicky! How warm is the sea?
