Morning all. Is it wrong that the idea of getting sunburnt sounds lovely at the moment. Have a great time Chicky. Seems that everyone is slowly coming to terms with the new format. I'm loving it. Clari Dove is right. I went 'temping' when I was 40 and did a six week stretch at a theatre. Ended up staying 8 years with a totally new career. You never know what's round the corner.
Glad you've found a solution, BL - it's so frustrating when the technology snarls up. I don't suppose I'm the only one who's been left despairing when the computer has had to be replaced because it's "out of date", when we're still using household equipment - and in my case, wearing clothes which we've had for 30 years...
Glad you found your way in, Pat!
As soon as it warms up a bit from the current 2C, I'm off out to do some GARDENING!!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Morning all. Clari, Hosta Hugs from me too. You really have had a crappy run lately. Take comfort from the comments of others and remember, Wonky got a fab new job when she thought it least likely. Stay strong. You're a wonderful person with drive and skills and passion. Something WILL turn up. Chicky, as the kids on the street would say, "I'm well jell " I think I might head into the Hosta tunnel and have a nice day pottering / weeding in there.
Best of luck Clari with the job hunting. It’s very disheartening. Ive been drying more herbs - more parsley and some Lovage. The plant disappears during winter, and since Hubby found that incorporating some fresh leaves in with his pasta-making worked very well, I thought I’d try drying some just in case it works in its dried form as well as fresh. That’ll give him a supply in winter, maybe. The little Celeriac seedlings that I transplanted yesterday are looking very sprightly out there. We had 3 degrees this morning. Chicky the beach looks very tempting. Do they still have trams out to Glenelg? I haven’t been there since 1993.
Grey day here but mild. I have been busy crown lifting an overgrown laurel. Smells wonderful as I hack. Shoulders aching now - unused to such activity after a long, non gardening winter for here and a long drought before that.
Clari - positive waves coming your way. Don't let stress ruin your health, especially for an undeserving employer. Ditto your OH who needs a kick up the behind.
Liri - I too have 30 yr old clothes and only change PC when it breaks, not cos it's out of date altho I couldn't get rid of the old Windows 8 PC fast enough. Nightmare already before they upgraded it to 10 without asking.
Busy, Internet Explorer is being wound down - I believe - so maybe OH needs to think about changing too.
LP - knees are badly designed. I hope yours improve soon.
Greetings to everyone else. Hope you're having a good day and are gearing up for a good weekend.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
