Hurray! A photo I can see, thank you Liri. What an unusual fungus.
I've been getting fed up with the forum because I can't see the photos on the Garden Gallery and I can't join in with the plant identity threads or help with garden threads when there are photos. It wasn't like that in the trial run forum.
Nora said Chrome was better, I had to re-load it, Laptop seemed to have lost it, it was there last week but it's not my default. Anyway, I'm looking at the forum through Chrome now, it seems slower and the print looks smaller. Still doesn't work for photos, but that is a slow Internet problem with people posting photos that are too big. But I didn't have that problem on the original forum before anyone starting messing about with it.
It's another grey day, rained in the night. Apart from Monday the forecast is rain for the foreseeable future.
Must go and see to the bread before it over rises.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
It's wonderful, isn't it! Hardly anything in the woodland has any colour at the moment, so that splash of red really stood out. Locals say they're quite common here - they "fruit" in the winter, like wet conditions and rotting wood - but they're not that common elsewhere.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
I sympathise re photos Busy. I've been known to go and get myself a coffee while waiting for them to load. Not always convenient. Don't remember that happening during the trial phase and I now automatically re-size any of mine.
It's gone cold again here but is set to stay dry till Tuesday so given I'm busy tomorrow and Monday it likes no proper gardening for me till Friday at the earliest. off to sew again now - need to escape Bonzo's windy bum.

Afternoon all, I'm finally back after a marathon nanna duty. Glad to hear that hubby is safe and sound Pat, hope they get the fire out soon so that you can rest easy.
Chicky, welcome to Birmingham, we'll miss Chicklet, hope you enjoy having her home.
Checked the greenhouse, everything fine. Will need to move a lot of the seedlings out of the conservatory and into the greenhouse but think it will have to be tomorrow when I have more energy. Have some delphinium and snapdragons that can go into the coldframe to harden off. I'm planning to mow the lawn tomorrow for the first time this year, so fingers crossed it doesn't rain.
Hi hope your OH is not having to go on fire duty Pat, we have at last got the house painting finish and today I have spent put the pots back on the patio and planting pansies so we will get a bit of colour for the winter. its very windy and going cooler in the evening. I hope Pdoc is feeling a bit better and Hosta cold is clearing up
Thanks @Glenys 2 , it's getting there. The hosta tunnel is now weeded and watered. Now I have to decide what to do with them. Leave them in there for another year? get them all out into the garden, and if so where? split some of them to bulk up? I'll have a nice cuppa and a toasted hot cross bun and give it some thought.
Ooh, a toasted hot cross bun .... any spares Hosta?
I'm home now from my visit to Wonky ... a lovely catch up with her and met a couple of her friends too, one of whom had brought some lovely fresh wild garlic leaves he'd picked especially for me
Now I'm on the sofa ready for the boat race ... friend hasn't arrived yet ... his train doesn't get in until around 7 .
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
