  • The Dahlias look really colourful, and I like to grow a few for cut flowers. Had some freebies to plant up, but I already have about 20-I can't help myself! Flower Lady...I must get myself some more Snowdrops, those are lovely. I have a few up in my garden, along with my Primroses. There is also a pot of Irises from last year and all of them have flowered again...quite impressed.

Interesting to see so many 'archetypally English' tea roses, in all possible colours! Indians seem to have an unabashed way with colour that we could all learn from, Christopher Lloyd would have approved!

Nice pictures and would like to see more of the general market scenes.  I missed the action and the deleted pictures.  Hope Darrandal is not put off and comes back.

Based in Sussex, I garden to encourage as many birds to my garden as possible.

Alas you missed all the action ; was about to develop into a somewhat heated debate involving animal cruelty , colonialism and the bleeding of India by the British , not to mention the often dubious claims of 'benefit scroungers' in the UK .

Surprise surprise , some of the more interesting threads were removed !image

Beautiful colours, I'm surprised by how some of the flowers are the same as ours here at this side of the world.  The world is indeed becoming smaller, and familiar.

Durrendal has not been heard from for two-days now ; he probably HAS been put off by some of the comments he received on the forum .image

I assumed that the 'Potting Shed' existed TO discuss topics other than gardening ; admittedly that 'debate' would probably have evolved and terminated with nothing at all being gained , except bad feeling on the forum  , and that is something I'm sure none of us want image .

    Back to plants then..................image

  • Oh wow.

This has got to be some of the most generous and warm outpouring of emotions I have seen in an online forum.

I admit, I was reluctant to come here after the incident, partly because of the comments and partly because I know I reacted a bit worse than I should have. Also because life came in the way.

I am glad you all liked the plants, even if ya'll were trying to be nice. I will definitely continue to stick to the forums.

As for more pics, turns out one of my college mates has their own family nursery so I can get out there and show pics of genuine nurseries that supply plants to the sellers, also we have something called the Agro-Horticulture society that was the prime research base of explorers and botanists in Asia during the 1800's . It's a breathtaking place which is sort of grown like a zoo, divided into plants of different climates and let to be grown in their natural sizes/shapes as they would in wild.

Will you guys be interested in those?
