  • Morning all sounds like some are suffering frost and or snow, here on the coast we have a sunny bright morning no sign of frost and 8° on the balcony so will sit out there with my cup of coffee later.

No plans for today so maybe a run out to the country for a pub lunch and a long walk.

    Morning all.

Grey but no snow, -4°. Bother, gas heater in the kitchen has just run out. OH is still in bed, I'll wait for him to deal with it.

H Hog, that sounds lovely, it's the sort of thing we do when at our Norfolk cottage. But no pubs here in SW France.

    Hi all.

    Welcome to newcomers.

Proper winters day, very cold, but bright blue sun, think I will go for a stroll down by the river at Chatsworth. Sadly only flat walks at the moment.

OH home tonight, so need to tidy up a bit and find something to cook.

Morning all, afternoon Pat! And welcome to Firelily and HampshireHog! image  a brief bio for me, I'm daughter of Dovefromabove, live in Ipswich, Suffolk. I'm a full time gardener at a 70 acre estate but am off sick due to painful hands currently. Lovely to have new members to join us! Looking forward to hearing and seeing everyone's ideas for the upcoming seasons! image

Hosta, I hope you had a wonderful time with your daughters with you x

Morning Dove, best of luck at dentist!

Good luck at the hairdressers Obelixx! I used to hate having my hair cut too! I've always had fine hair with a slight wave but  flyaway and I'm not one for products and styling! image finally got brave and went for my shortest cut yet, tousled layered jaw length Bob with choppy fringe...apparently those are the correct terms image all I know is all I have to wash it and finger combe and leave it! image

Morning Pdoc, image love Chatsworth! Have a lovely stroll!

We have snow here so I'm quite glad the Dr won't let me work in these conditions and feel he may well sign me off longer when I visit him tomorrow! Snow drops and crocus peeping through here and brave daffs showing their greens too but all through a layer of snow!

Hubby is back at work today after his five day birthday break from work, which was lovely! I'm on housework duties today. Second coffee sat at kitchen window looking out on the back garden. A wren is picking through cosmos seedheads in my gardening trug just a few feet away and Flatters the cat is mesmerised on the windowsill. Need to restock peanut and sunflower heart feeders daily at the moment!

Hope everyone stays warm and safe, have a lovely day all! image
