He has fixed the LEDs on the cupboards either side of the cooker and they now work but he could feel them getting warm after just a few mins of testing.  He's changed the transformer on the others along the end wall and will order a replacement plastic cover to make it pretty again.  However, like me, he thinks LEDs shouldn't be getting hot so he's going to have a word with their factory on Tuesday and advises I shouldn't use them meantime till he finds out more about hot LEDs.

OH has the Olympics on the big TV in the living room so I have retreated to the dining room - like skiing when I'm doing it but interested in watching it - and tacked my patchwork to its wadding.   Bit early for lunch so I shall pop upstairs for an hour of sewing and Stephen Fry reading Harry Potter.  I also have Geoff H DVDs up there but too frustrating to watch those at the mo.

Knees bending better but still very swollen and black and blue.   Better than a couple of days ago tho so should be OK for dancing this evening with no spacey meds.

Is the boyfriend cardi done yet?  Pics please on the craft thread.

Liri - your garden must be full of lovely perfume form those plants.

DL - Dunham Massey definitely a sunny, or at least, a dry day activity.

They're beautiful and very appetising except for that skull.  What is that?

  • Just the sewing up and pockets to finish off now ....... then to buy some buttons ...

I know you'll all be pleased to know that Fairygirl is fine  image  She's contacted me via snail mail ... even molluscs have their uses  image  ... her computer has been very poorly ... it is away being fixed ... she hopes to be back with us before too long.  She says her garden has been suffering from the Scottish weather and not a chance of getting on with anything yet.

The skull was an amazing chocolate concoction, filled with little "hits" of citrus and tiny pieces of toffee. It was delicious.

Glad fairy is fine, I have missed her.

Congrats Steephill sounds like you had a lovely day.

Hosta, you must be mad, no way would I tackle those lillies it's just too cold to be wading in water.

Sitting in the warm at the moment watching the Olympics.  Feeling a bit delicate after 3 days of Jonah duty, love him to bits but he's at a very lively stage at the moment.

Planning a snowdrop walk to Dormaston in Shropshire tomorrow if I've got the energy.

Sun shining at the moment after a very cloudy start.  Have a good weekend everyone.

    GGGRRRRRR

    Mr Angry from Devon here.

I got to work and saw my route, did my pre delivery checks to the van, started loading then one my colleages said " oh erm, you've only got 2 drops so can you work on tills and the other 2 drivers will have one each of yours."

I said to the Duty Manager. " why couldn't someone have called me at 7.30 and given me the option of staying at home, it is my day off after all. I agreed to do driving , I'd not have agreed to stand at a till"

" It's my last day, I don't want any bother"

I was very tempted to turn and walk out the door.

I'll carry on doing the late Sunday overtime, but that's it. I've had enough.

Yvie, I don't have much choice as the frogs will arrive soon and I need to split them before they really get new growth under way. Hubby has promised to help me on Monday and I'll have a bucket of warm water beside me so I can plunge my hands into it.

    Devon.
