  • I ought to add that I have recently invested in purple slippers too

They have a sturdy sole so they'll be fine for wandering around the garden in the summer ... they'll cope with a little morning dew image

Is third coffee excessive do you think or can we put it down to a warming motivational tonic? image

Just popping in to say hello before heading to Screwfix/Toolstation to find materials to make some urgently-needed squirrel proof cloches. £50 from Crocus - no thank you!

I have had a series of purple dressing gowns for many years, am a Prince fan and have clogs for the garden. But they're Crocs and not purple but lime green - am I still allowed in Forkers?

    Welcome HHog, btw.

Hosta I hope your OH is OK...

I think purple and lime green work very well together. Very suffragette.

LG, I'm afraid it compulsory that you are in, with credentials like that! imageimage

Is anything really squirrel proof anyway? image

Quite! I'll take that as permission then image

Don't rain on my parade, Wonky! I've gog to do *something* to at least deter the blighters.

The parakeets, which are always about but rarely alight in the garden, have started to hang off my new (squirrel proof) bird feeder. They haven't found a way in. Yet.

Edited to add: but at least they match my Crocs...

Haha LG! Yeah I agree at least make it a challenge for them and not an open invitation! We have the same trouble at work, they run along the kitchen garden walls from the trees and grab the espalier peaches!!!!! I do feel your frustration! image

Dove, kettle boiled but am at least dressed now image

Was just waiting to be sure that Bow's plane had taken off for their school trip to Berlin alright. What a great week to go image. It has - so I'm off to get some metal rods and stuff. See you later!
