That's looking so much better image

Don't be too hard on yourself if you don't spend every waking hour there - the aim is that this new hobby will be a keeper - you don't want to burn yourself out and make it a chore you dread. It's not the end of the world (or any kind of failure) if there's still a patch of rough stuff to clear next year. The aim is to start growing SOMETHING. You don't have to do EVERYTHING in the first season image

I am not finding it a chore. I actually look forward to going down there and everyday during my break in work I am reading fruit and veg books.

I do want it done as quickly as possible though, can't imagine erecting greenhouses in the cold is fun.But I have my garden to attend to as well so I should try and relax about it.

I will try to post more photos but my phone won't let me.

All the turf is up now. Just trying to level it off as it is all over the place. As I go along I am taking out more roots and plenty of stones. It is very time consuming.

Cotty1000, wow you have been incredibly busy, what a transformation. It is so rewarding, i love it. I have a smallish veg plot in our back garden and grew lots of veg and fruit this year. It is time consuming all the time, watering, weeding, planting, harvesting, you'll never get bored. I loved coming home from work and tending my veg plot, watering and picking fresh veg for dinner, you can't beat it ?

GWRS what a lovely neat allotment you have, love how you have made your paths. I have paths in mine, it makes life soooo much easier. My OH kindly helped me build some raised beds last weekend with spare wood in the garage, this will help me retain compost and water within the beds. This summer I did had an Alice Fowler theme, adding flowers along with the veg, so it looked pretty too ?

Wow! I hope my plot looks as good as both of yours.

I am going to start to build the greenhouses soon and see where they look good. I will mark everything out with pegs and twine then put my paths and greenhouse bases down. I have got lots of paving slabs to law down,so my muscles will be bulging when I am finished!

Thank you GWRS and Cotty. Flowers around great for bees as you say GWRS. I can feel your enthusiasm Cotty and understand why you are full speed ahead. You want to get as much in place as possible before winter so that you are ready for the off in spring ?

I have a windup/solar radio and love listening to it when i'm pottering in the garden ?
