i am glad i am not the only one hoping for Trump to suffer a bit.
Hosta, I think the problem might be the prohibitive cost of the insurance, and USA having a lot of poor people. My Mum had relatives over there who could never afford health insurance, even though superficially they did not appear poor.
Hosing it down yet again, so ark building to resume, wanted to go to the local sheep dog trials today, but perhaps not.
I have friends in Grenada, so am hoping they do not have a hurricane this year. The island was virtually destroyed in 2004, and is still not fully rebuilt. They also lost all the Nutmeg trees, which devastated the economy.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Ah yes - the Land of the Free and all that - except it's not free - in any sense of the word.
I'd agree - insurance is probably prohibitive for thousands of those poor souls.
I know what you mean r'girl, about being caught in our own issues, but you shouldn't feel bad about feeling that way. There's precious little any of us can do, other than make a financial contribution, and that eases the guilt a little I suppose. What's happening to you, in your world, is what you have to deal with, and if it's difficult, it doesn't mean it's less important in any way.
I'm with you on the G'sWorld thing too. I thought hour long progs would mean better progs, but I find myself increasingly bored and losing interest. Perhpas it's just me though. I've found it less beneficial over the last few years anyway.
Any progress on the 'relative' front doc?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Just spent a happy 15 mins watching the Blackbird family back & forth across my lawn & garden. They have been regulars every day for the past couple of weeks. I think they are a family of juveniles as I've never seen 4 all at once in the garden without some sort of bust up before.
Took my mind off all the worlds troubles for a while!

Hello all. I've even lazy today. Managed some HW and washing, but otherwise, lounging in front of the TV watching weather reports.
Eat wishes to any of you with friends or relatives over there.
Best wishes! Der.
I'm glad it's not just me who finds the whole Dillon / Don ( he was the same , if not worse with Roy Lancaster) gushing thing more than a bit cringey.
Bits of sun and torrential showers here.

EasyJet have just charged me £60 in order to sit with my OH on flight to Sicily. I almost told them to find me someone else to sit with.
With regard to brother, I am just trying to pluck up the courage to phone him, with a suggested meeting place.

Punkdoc, do what I do.
" Oh good, if his blood pressure drops again, and he needs oxygen again, someone else can do it this time."
Works every time.
Air travel is just becoming more grim by the day ,isn't it?

I like the " I'm prone to travel vomiting" approach Raisingirl, I'll remember that one.
I once said to a Rep on holiday when she was trying to flog us adjacent seats on the return flight:
" I've been sitting beside him for 2 weeks. I don't care whether I sit next to him or not"
Why airlines can't have a simple "first come first served" rule for seating:, aisle, window , extended legroom the lot?
