[...] This is of course Celypha lacunana The Common Marble which I'm sure you will have recognised by the longitudinal streak of ground colour just costal to the middle of the median fascia.

    Of course. ;)

I expect that's the common honey bee, Apis mellifera, on my Geranium 'Orion'?

I peaked too soon with my insects of the day today. My wistful tortrix was quickly knocked into second place by this lovely Foxglove Pug (Eupithecia pulchellata)...
which was in turn knocked off the top spot by a pair of pale tussock moths that I almost didn't notice as it was getting dark and they'd picked the perfect spot to show off their camouflage. I hope they lay eggs here as the caterpillars look amazing. My 66th moth species. :)

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Ah. In my excitement I googled "wistful tortrix". 😂

The tussock moth is amazing. Such fluffy legs! The moth that think it's a puppy.

Generally spiders scare me senseless, but thought this one was rather cute.

@Lena_vs_Deer Thanks for this nice pic of what looks like Misumena vatia, a species of crab spider. Can't ID the (lovely) flower, though.

@Papi Jo they do indeed look like crabs! And the flower is Tecolote Ranunculus, it came as a part of pastel mix :)
