Discovered this this morning and couldn't work out what was going on. My first thought was that they were mating but as they looked to be different species, I discounted it. Kept checking back over the next few hours and they'd moved a bit then as luck would have it, on my last look, they were just separating which is when I saw the red tail on the second bee. He flew off and she stayed for a little, grooming her antennae before flying off herself. Alas I had muddy gloves on so didn't get a photo. Really wish I had now!
