  • I have to cook dinner but will take a look at this info afterwards. Thanks so much for your help guys

  • Just to add a little more.

Always buy online using a Credit Card and NEVER use a Debit Card.

By using a Credit Card you can Back Charge under section 75 of the credit card consumers act of 1974.

You try to get your money back directly with the company you purchased from, if you fail then you phone your card company and they then give you your money back  and in most cases you get to keep what you bought too.

You are NOT protected when you use a Debit Card online.

But the OP has got the plant she ordered.  surely the company are not obliged to give the money back.

I don't think it's happy in that little inner pot.

  • I'm not sure if that is correct though as the description does say that the plant has a beautiful scent etc so if it hasn't I don't think that is right on the seller's part.... But once again I really am pleased and thankful for all your input - it is all relevant - so I think the best thing to do is for me to repot it in bigger pot tomorrow and hang in there for the 2 week period and just see what happens and then take it from there. It really helped offloading what I know is a petty little thing in the grand scheme of things but sometimes its the little things that take your mind off the big things lol.

Some qualities like scent and colour are very subjective ... if something like that is particularly important to me I  go to a nursery and buy a specific plant that I know meets my criteria.

Mine is in a very big pot. It's now quite big and has been re-potted 3 times. For the first couple of years it didn't smell much. I've fed it and watered it and it's grown a lot. It doesn't smell very strong in the mornings, you have to get close to a flower to smell it, but on warm summer evenings, when I leave the back door open, it fills the house with scent. It's on the south facing wall of the house. Maybe you just need to wait for it to mature a bit.

  • I'm gonna repot it using john innes no 3 and keep my fingers crossed. Do I use all JI or part mix with MP?  image
