    I only bought a few plugs,3 x Birdsfoot Trefoil,3 x Red Clover and 10 x Wild Thyme with P&P cost around £16.

The Lawn Daisy seeds cost £1.79 and I think every one (1875) came up!

I might try other seeds next year.

I also have some White Clover which I dug out of a friends lawn.

It need not cost a fortune and I just bought these few plugs as they were plants I couldn't acquire from other lawns.

The lawn already has some Black Medick in it.

The lawn is around 10sqm or so.

I am not intending to completely replace the grass just add things to it.

Still just experimenting really and will probably be a year or two before I will know if it has been any sort of success!

i've just recently moved my rockery into the corner and have put grass seed down where it was, I have decided while i have the space (will be a garage in this spot withing the next couple years) I will leave the grass uncut and let it go wild! my hoggies sure will love it :) In my lawn atm i have already got loads of 'weeds' which im hoping take hold of this bit of ground.

Im sure you're meadow lawn will look awesome :) certainly sounds it

My plant plugs arrived this afternoon from Naturescape.Well packed and delivered within 48 hours of ordering.Nice lot of roots on the plugs.Very impressed.

Have planted them all in the lawn this evening.

I cut the whole lawn with shears this afternoon as I don't want to mow untill all the plants are well established.Just glad the lawn is not too big!!

watch out for the slugs, OMG my lawn is 100 foot long!  Make sure you clear a patch of grass round your plants, so they get a chance.

Yes I have cut the grass round each plant.I'm not sure what my neighbours must think. Was out there yesterday with a pair of scissors trimming round patches of daisies etc!!!

All plants still there this morning so no slugs overnight.I have hedgehogs which patrol the lawn so that must help!

The plugs all had really good root systems so hopefully they will get going quickly.

It's very strange that all these plants are so successful in our lawns when we do nothing and try to get rid of them but when 'planted' by us we get very protective of them.

How long did they take medpenguin?  Have just ordered various mostly white umbellifers, all perin apart from the cow parsley I put in name address, etc etc, clicked on buy now, it came up said I hadnt put my card details in, I jolly well had, after 3 attempts, I gave up and rang, they didnt seem keen on doing a phone order TBH, no phone call regarding when the wildflower turf is being cut, blast! Just bought the book My garden is a car Park and other designs, after looking thru that have decided to fill out the removed turf with some rugosas, they look great in the long grass wildflowers.
