  • The sunniest, hottest day of the year so far and I didn't get much gardening done. Too much going on.

    9 Brimstones, 6 Orange Tips, 5 Holly Blue's, 2 Red Admirals', 1 Wall butterfly and several unidentified very small brown damselflies.

    I think the Blue tits have gone and they didn't leave any rent money again! image

    siberian irises are doing well

    rose 'blue moon' (we can all agree that it isn't blue, I think)

    geum Totally Tangerine which has been flowering for weeks already with rose "Rhapsody in Blue" behind it. Also not blue.

    Dutch irises - rather more blue.

    This is this year's project - the new pond. Very early days yet
