The sunniest, hottest day of the year so far and I didn't get much gardening done. Too much going on.
9 Brimstones, 6 Orange Tips, 5 Holly Blue's, 2 Red Admirals', 1 Wall butterfly and several unidentified very small brown damselflies.
I think the Blue tits have gone and they didn't leave any rent money again!

Hey - you got a house! All I got was a pile of stones and some crinkly tin when we bought our beech tree.
After that brief reminder of Winter , the sun shone here yesterday:
siberian irises are doing well
rose 'blue moon' (we can all agree that it isn't blue, I think)
geum Totally Tangerine which has been flowering for weeks already with rose "Rhapsody in Blue" behind it. Also not blue.
Dutch irises - rather more blue.
This is this year's project - the new pond. Very early days yet
Not a day to work in the garden, but a day to sit back and enjoy!
