A hint for moving plants .... As Fairy said, water it and whilst it soaks it up dig your new hole and prepare it then cut around the plant with a sharp spade giving it as big a root ball as possible (make sure the new hole is as big or bigger than this root ball) then prize out the plant onto a blanket or waterproof tarpaulin.
I have a blanket/tarp that I use for this purpose.
This allows you to drag the plant, soil and all to the new location.
You should be able to drop the blanket into the hole, adjust it using the blanket (every plant has a front and back) and slide it out from under the plant. Then fill in around and firm and water well.
