One of the mallow family. Possibly Lavatera. Easier to identify when it flowers.

    Looks like my Lavatera.

I have not had one of those for years. They are lovely. I am just trying to work out where I could squeeze one in.

  • Thank you for your help

  • When will it flower

It should be flowering right now. But if your one is newly planted or had been cut harshly, then it will probably be flowering in the next few weeks. I know someone who has had it flower almost every day of the year!

Mine doesn't flower yet. I have Barnsley and a darker pink shrub one which I cut down every spring or it goes straggly. They certainly don't flower every day of the year.

Late summer really for them flowering up here. July maybe. I don't grow them any more though.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I don't grow them so have no idea, but I saw sporadic flowers in December in a friend's garden. They seemed to be thriving so well. This spring they were already blooming.

  • Can you prune them to

    make them a tidy
