    Thanks Joyce!  I'll give that a try this year.. I love the sound of a delayed/staggered method, extending the season for pollinators.

    Blue Onion - I don't want to just use your initials as that would have connotations image I do exactly as you do to my Buddleja in Spring and I dead head continuously right through the Summer as the flowers die and more and more flowers emerge. I have a very dark purple one - cannot remember its name but it smells of honey and the bees and butterflies (sadly fewer of those in the last few years) swarm to it.
