Hello there after doing some research and listening to the wise people here.

I think I will get mpc for my annuals such as coriander and parsley etc

and JI compost no 3 for my perennials

    Your thoughts please

Also mentioned on here was the use of Grit would I need Grit for all my  herbs or just a select few

    please advise.

Pansyface I know I am being a bit cautious and pedantic but I really want to have success this year which will then hopefully spur me on to grow some veg next year

Basil will be fine in your mpc with added JI - basil is a bit different as it comes from Thailand - so think humid and hot.

STOP stressing!  - we're talking about herbs here - they grow in little crags on mountains, get no rain for ages and often windswept.

Whatever you provide will be like a 7* hotel compared to their usual habitat.

Most people kill herbs by giving too much tlc - understand the basics then learn from experiece

Ok  Thanks Ill do a little more research and let you know what I am doing and you can confirm if all is ok.

By the way, do you know any good online gardening websites that deliver ?

Plants - Sarah Raven is very good - Crocus - usually good

Most other stuff I buy from a local GC or Amazon
