That looks fantastic, even something as "simple" as weeding the path has transformed it. I wouldn't worry about funny shapes and edges, nature doesn't do straight lines.

Incidentally, my two bays have been growing happily in my clay soil for ten plus years. Can't wait to see the next pics.

  • image So, I have been adding manure, kitchen compost, multi purpose compost, sand, grit. I'm really pleased at how it's looking. I bought some plants at the Gardeners World Show and also yesterday went to a beautiful nursery just south of Reading. Give me plant shopping over clothes shopping any day!!! I've been poorly recently with anxiety and could not put my heart into anything so today I made up for it! I've planted some Briza Media, astrantia, geranium, Carex evergold, veronicastrum, physostegi virginiana and a rose called Margaret Merrill which smelt beautiful when it was in flower. Now I need to start on bed to the right of this one.

What an astounding job you've done lovegardening77.  As Tesni says - gardening can be very therapeutic and a great boon to your well-being, especially at times when things become a bit much to bear.  All best wishes.
