It's interesting to read the Wormcity spec. Can you say how the wormery works well for you?

I’ve got 4 tray worm city, always been very happy with it. 4 trays works well for us, bottom 2 usually ready to change by time i fill the 4th one. Haven’t used any other though so no comparison

Do you really need to add so much newspaper to it as they recommend? Did that withwit old one (which was a very cheap one) and it never seemed to break down properly.
Worms seems quite happy. No mayor attempts to break out.

Fire, my old one worked so so but it was very cheap. Got way better compost from the container I sometime tipped excess stuff into. The wormcity one looks way better. It has way more holes for the worms to move between the trays and they also lock a couple of cm above the bottom which will stop it from compacting.

I use a regular black plastic dustbin with a lid, with drainage holes drilled in the bottom. I put kitchen waste and browns and grow brandlings in it. I have gazillions. They seem very happy and breeding. I'm wondering what the advantages of vertical worm cities are. I guess they take up less space...

I don’t use any newspaper to be honest, gets a bit sludgy but breaks down ok

@fire it is just easier to maintain. You don't need to tip everything out to get to the wormcasts and it is also easier to get to the worm tea.
