My wee magnolia is absolutely covered in lichen but not the hairy variety and has very few buds. I hope it'll be better now it's had a tickle of feed after removing the weeds at its feet.

That must have been about the time we visited Harlow Carr. No1 daughter was considering York Uni, so we went up for a weekend for a "reccy"

I'm hoping some of my echiums flower this year
They should flower this year, Hosta, don't feed them, they grow on rough old ground in the wild. Hope you like the pretty pink when they do??
Obelixx. Harlow Carr has changed a lot over the last few years.
The stream has been widened and the planting in that area is fantastic.
