Oh and I saw a big bee when I was out for my run this morning too.
Two bumble bees on the apricot blossom today
Brimstone and a Peacock butterfly for us too. and we are not in the South. They don't hang about while I come in for the camera though.

I have seen a tortoise-shell and a brimstone today, numerous bees and some water-boatmen in my little pond.
Ok I'm not the arbiter of spring. I bow to the previous post
I just think it's lovely that we're all seeing butterflies this early. I'm sure there weren't so many about this early last year.
