    Working from home today.....

So if I have a few gaps I'll look to cut back the rest of the verbena bonariensis, remove achillea (pasty yellow one don't remember the variety - hopefully not red velvet if I can remember where they were relative to the yellow ones!).

If I have time I'll plant the stipa, and maybe transplant the heleniums....

Oh well, verbena chopped, nothing else (so far) on my original list done, but did remove some pathetic penstemon red riding hood, moved a penstemon pensham laura, moved a winter jasmine to somewhere (hopefully) better suited, and planted a fern where the jasmine had been.

Saw these looking fine in the garden (not my Ashwood ones):

Also my anemone blanda blue is enjoying the sunshine:

It is indeed the same anemone as Andy's Aym, it wasn't on my to buy list at all... but instead a rather impulsive decision image I'm setting myself a new rule that stipulates if I don't know where it'll be placed, I won't buy it otherwise it'll be sat in a pot for all of eternity! The forsythia is out the front on the bark bank, I purposely let it grow out of control for the Spring display of colour and it doesn't disappoint next to the cherry blossom - it'll receive a good hacking back after flowering!

Still loving the colours of your hellebores.

  • We have one of these pots each side of our back door in our block of flats. The lavender is from Aldi and the primroses and pansies from online sellers. Just the start of our container garden. Sat here in our lounge listening to birds singing away outside and loving it

    Beautiful hellebores, exquisite?

Hi aym, have you got to move house? Maybe somewhere warmer, less noisey with fresher air?
