This path has been raised up and a very large pipe put underneath, because it's by the Brooke and when it keeps on raining the Brooke break's it's bank and flood the path. I find it very fascinating to see.

I know this isn't Gardening, but i had to show you this. I made my Xmas cake, so i could put sherry in and it will mature for xmas

This cake tin I've had since i was 11 years old, when i started doing domestic science at school.

    image

    So i lined it

    image

Then tied paper round it to stop it from getting too brown round the sides

    This is it.

I have a beutiful OTT pink camelia under our kitchen window, it has huge blooms, but the frost always gets it and they go brown and drop off ☹️ It probably wasn't the right plant in the right place moment when i planted it 10 years ago, i put it there to hide the gas meter! The greenhouse isn't heated, it is the first winter i have ever tried to keep plants in it, usually it just a storage place over winter...as i haven't had the time, shameful, but now i will put it to good use?
