Television programme

I am looking to see if anyone remembers a TV programme about a man who lived in London - Pimlico I think and a women who lives in America and they wrote letters to each other. These were read out whilst you saw them in their gardens. The london  garden was a communal gated one in Pimlico. I think it was in the 1990's???

Not sure where to look or anyone to ask?? Anyone vaguely remember??

  • Do you mean 84 Charing Cross Road? There is a play and there was a TV series. Helene Hanff wrote letters to a second hand bookshop owner.

Lilysilly image the only way I found it was by searching Monty Don't then there is a collection of about 200 videos in one group. Click on one and it will show the rest. Enjoy! I loved the program! image

  • Oh you're a star Wonky, thank you so much. I'm currently off work laid up in bed so now have something worth watching.

    That link took me Heligan.

the programme mentioned by the OP is called The 3,000 mile garden I believe.

Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
