Well it's hedgehog war out here tonight! Came to shut up the conservatory and look to see if hogs had eaten, to find two between the water and feeding station. A large and normal sized adults. Suddenly a third normal sized one raced across the patio, pushing between the other two and facing off with the same sized one. They were nose to nose with a bit of circling ( not male chasing female stance) The new one definitely the aggressor. While they were doing this the big one went and had some food, came out and went towards the water, only for the aggressive one to run up to it, grab it near its front leg and shake it like a dog would! It then resumed its face off with the other. Big one took flight and left the garden ( didn't have a limp so hopefully ok) the other two continued their fight into the bushes, later one came for a drink but ran straight back into the bushes. Hope I don't find an injured hog tomorrow
I know l sound like a stuck record, but please put a shallow bowl out (more if you can) for hedgehogs and other wildlife in this hot weather. I watched a small hedgehog snuffling around the lawn at 10.30 last night and taking advantage 😊.
I know not all forum members are having these very high temperatures, but there is talk of extreme heat next weekend particularly in the South East of the UK. Many thanks 🦔

Not at all sure Anni. It's in the original post and follows the paragraph marked:
Hedgehog feeding stations are ideal to keep cats and foxes away, follow the steps in the Youtube video below (not so sure on the music taste ) and face it towards a shed/garage/wall, with a small enough gap for the hog but nothing else. A brick on top will also help.
