Yes I've only seen the adult one once last week and the younger ones only every so often, had one this morning but they don't like the rain.
Hopefully they're in the houses that i made in the back garden at the back by the wall, under the plum trees.

Re the hedgehog programme on Monday night, apparently it is partly the programme that was shown earlier this year with newly filmed segments.

That's great @AnniD I didn't watch the last one so it will be good.

Had to take a small hedgehog to a house in Warwick, the  woman takes them in to make them better   this afternoon  It  was still light and came to feed but he was wobbly on his legs, weighed him and he was 257g.
Got a high sided box and put a hot water bottle in and some old towels.
He was snuggling up to the hot water bottle.

@Logan4, it's good that you knew what to do. Fingers crossed for the little one 🦔
  • Not surprised he was having problems being that little @Logan4 . It's been white over here, and I am expecting the other youngster to turn up cold and hungry anytime now.

Thank you  @AnniD and  @Purplerallim hope that yours do ok. We haven't had the white stuff here but cold and frosty. she asked if we would like him back in the  spring and we said yes. We gave a donation as well.

Fingers crossed for your hog @Logan, you did all you could for it and let's hope there is a positive outcome for the hoglet.  Our rescue centre is kept incredibly busy, treating nearly 500 hedgehogs so far this year. Not all at the same time and some as day patients for tic removal although there are over 150 overwintering there at present.

Thank you  @Guernsey Donkey I hope so, it feels empty now he's gone but it was for the best. She told us what has to do when she takes them in. We gave £5.00 but hubby asked how much it would cost to treat him, she said that it's £100.0 for every hog.
  • £100 - I had no idea the average cost per hog was so much although I realize they all need food, clean bedding and heating during the winter.
No wonder our rescue centre is always asking for donations @Logan4. They have so many sick creatures to care for during the year. There are donation bins in some of the supermarkets and some people bequeath money for the rescue centre in their wills.
