The enthusiasm of both couples was inspiring and reminded me of a younger us - me & OH, oh the joys of youth!.
The design, the planting and the energy made for a very interesting programme, which will give any gardener the impetus to get out there and improve their garden this Spring. Monty was behind them all the way, and was brilliant with them.
Just watched BDSS on BBC IPlayer, brilliant program. I love these programs, you get so many different ideas .I loved both Toriq and Ant and Jakes garden.
Gardening can be such hard work, but when you've done it ALL YOURSELVES, stepped back and look at what YOU'VED achieved instead of some garden designer it's so rewarding especially when friends, family, neighbours and not forgetting everyone on the forum compliment it. You guys must be so proud.
I hate it when people say I CAN'T do that, when they've never even tried.
antzero, I'm surprised you don't have a little Buddha somewhere hidden amongst those ferns.
Congratulations from me too - both gardens were amazing and the effort you all put in was so worthwhile. I'd also love to see how they develop and I wouldn't mind seeing how they look now in dreary January if you can find time to take a few pictures
Two great gardens - and some serious graft - well done pokhim and antzero. The LG garden was my absolute favourite at Chelsea this year (I bored everyone with the pics ). I love, love, loved that planting So I was very excited that someone had used it as their inspiration.
Like others have said, it willl be great to see how your gardens evolve with time - sharing pics would be brlliant.
One of the best bits about last night's programme was seeing the way you all got bitten by the gardening bug .....its a wonderful thing .....welcome to our club?????????????
Well done pokhim you've done a fantastic job transforming the garden, I hope you got some alliums bulbs last year, they will look really well. Whats with the chicken fascination still going to get a topiary chicken.
Great programme and congratulations to you both. Fantastic transformations and you got more than your 15 minutes of fame too! and got to meet Monty for some no nonsense advice. Fabulous results for both of you, and not surprising considering how much hard work you had to put in. Would love to see some pics of both gardens as they fill-out and mature.
Best of luck to you and your partners for the future.

Well done to all involved, two different but both interesting gardens...and a huge effort. I hope you both share some photos as your gardens grow.
Hi Tetley, some Japanese do have Buddha's in their gardens but I agree most don't. I do know a Japanese man that does though.
