Bizzare Strange Email
I have had the strangest email from: notifications<at>GW.com
A forwarded message from: postmaster<at>immediate.com
with a strange attachment named RE: Garde.eml
Convinced this is a scam of some sorts.
If you have one of these, DO NOT OPEN THE ATTACHMENT
just in case.
Can GW help with this?

In the last few minutes I've received 2 more!!!!!
If you ever get an e-mail from a dubious source just delete it. Don't even think about opening it. I've actually had e-mails where it has my e-mail address as the sender.
I don't think for one minute that is genuine.
just delete.
Maybe contact Nora at GW by PM tomorrow.
Hello Cottage Compost,
Hmm sounds odd - if you're able to get a screen shot to send to me that would be very helpful but if not it's safest to delete it. If you haven't deleted it already please could you forward it to website@gardenersworld.com so we can take a look? Had you attempted to email anyone prior to recieving the emails?
Hello again Cottage Compost,
I have just tested something and I believe the below is the email you received?
Did you reply to one of our notification emails? Those emails are 'no reply', so replying to them will result in a 'failed delivery' email back to you. Don't worry, it's not a scam email, and the attachment is only the original notification email. Here is an example:
That's the one but with an odd attachment and load of gobble de gook.
I haven't replied to a notificational email though, well not initially but I did then send an email in this manor which would then explain the second one I got. Just looked in my sent box to check.
Nope I have not sent an email in reply to a notification, not before the first odd email I received anyway.
Hmm that's odd. Could you have had an automatic reply set up, e.g. an Out of Office message on your email account?
If you still have the dubious email do feel free to send it to [email protected] and we can investigate.
No auto replies at all.
I have sent an email to the address already. Do you want to me try again?
Ah - I've just spotted it. Thanks, I'll take a look!
Hi CC,
I just had a look, and it definitely looks like one of our automated 'undeliverable' emails. Although I'm not sure why you would have received one if you hadn't replied to one of our forum notification emails.
If you keep getting them, let me know!
