  A chain saw is not a pruning saw.   It's a tree felling saw and weapon of potential self-destruction.

  Lidl had their foldable pruning saws in again this week. £3.99. I'm not strong enough to use a big saw, but I bought one of these a few years ago and found it very useful. It eventually fell apart when the bolt holding the blade in place dropped out, but at 3.99 I am happy to replace it.
