Glad you liked pic. About 5 or 6 years ago, I went on a trip to Westonbirt Arboretum and found that if you stand under a tree when the sun is shining then there is a beautiful contrast of dark branches and bright leaves.
I was driving through the Peak District yesterday on the A54 and around Castleton. The lovely sunshine was coming in at a low level. I could have had some lovely photos but only had my phone with me and there was very little places to stop. Be prepared should be my motto.
Just a few pictures taken this late afternoon in the garden. Even in the middle of November there is something beautiful to see. We are in the process of making part of the front garden into an area for drier planting as it faces south and gets very hot in summer. Hence the muddy path!

Lovely photo of your Acer in all its Autumn glory!
Some recent pics taken in my garden.
Kaffir lily / Hesperantha coccinea. Very late flowering (first year)

Lovely combinations Joy, particularly fond of the last shot.
Mark56 I simply looked down and saw the leaves intermingled with the black grass it looked stunning!
I liked that one. The arrangement was serendipitous if that is a proper word.
