Lovely garden jameso, i like your meticulous netting over your pots, who pinches your bulbs? I had to put netting over my bedding plants for 2 summers, as we had 2 puppies and they kept pulling everything out ?

There are two local squirrels in the area I do leave sunflower hearts for the birds and they help themselves to that and over the years it has help a lot in getting no damage at all as I read a article few years back they started leaving food out for the squirrels at the white house and that cut down damage to there bulbs so I gave it a go and it has worked for me it can be a bit of a pain this side of Christmas as they cache some of it in the ground round the back of that conifer but overall it has been fine.   Also what's great I keep the pieces for next year of the chicken wire to fit back over the pots so once cut just store away.

That's very organised, James.  A lovely neat, tidy garden.

Loana, I love the idea of your stag garden - a peaceful place to remember faithful friends.  image

Redfuchsia, thank you for the information about where you live, and Polish weather.  I love your cherry leaves, adding a little splash of colour.

Pat, I find nothing eats my aquilegias, not even slugs.  Excellent plants - and such pretty flowers.

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Thanks Liri. Yes they are very sturdy.

this Deodar was given to me for my 50 th birthday (in a 10” pot). The birds alter the leader every now and then, but it’s still going strong. Pretty good growth considering our very low annual rainfall.

HinPatbE and Liri, thank you. I found a squirrels hoard of acorns in my compost heap yesterday, he won't be impressed to find his larder has been raided, oops, still there are plenty more where they came from, we have 8 english oaks in our garden, we love them ?

Beautiful pictures everyone, congratulations for your efforts !

Pat, your climate is a little like mine (though obviously colder in winter...). But it begins to rain sooner here in São Paulo.

Very nice Dimwit. I think you’re right about our climate zones. What time are you now?

i feel a bit uncomfortable calling you that!   Couldn’t you have thought of something nicer?image
