Thanks, not sure what they are, I had Harmony last year but they where darker blue than these. The plan was to get the same but they only had mixed at the garden centre , I must remember this year to go earlier as a lot of the pots I planted have different shades which make them look odd.
Don't crocus (and all flowers come to that), look so much better in the sunshine. What uplifting pictures you have taken to share with us, Dove. Even your Primroses are in flower, beautiful Spring colours.
I love the little reticulata Irises too. I have a very dark purple one, but they're on their way out now. I've had three years from them though, so can't complain. I'll get more in the autumn.
Firstly, I'm new to reticulata Irises (didn't even know that's what I'd bought).. or even all irises but I've inherited some stuff and bought more so I'm learning ,,,
When you say they're on their way out Fairy do you mean in their lifetime or do you mean this year? Reason I ask is because you say you've had three years from them so do they start to fade after a certain length of time? And when you say you'll get more in the autumn do you mean they have a second flowering period? Sorry if I'm misunderstanding and thanks for more info on this.
Very nice Dove, I got some Ret iris last autumn, Gordon just finished I dont think bring them in the house help only lasted a few days, they have a lovely sweet scent. I got Katherine hodgkinson Iris just starting to open.
Gorgeous photos everyone. How cheering to see Spring in the way. Not much to show here but the snowdrops I planted last year have taken well which is pleasing

Thanks Guernsey it's actually a rather risky area as it so soft underfoot It can give way! We took the place over 11 years ago and it had never been managed, gradually we are getting results

Definitely not George.
I think they're Purple Gem. I had that written in my notebook from a few years ago, and ticked off
Can't recall where I got them though.
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
